Tea Packaging Design with Eastern Aesthetics

Taking "concealment" as the starting point of the theme, we use modern design language to reconstruct the spirit of the landscape painting style in the Song Dynasty for this Mountain and River Four Rhymes series of tea. We deconstruct its spatial philosophy and the layers of ink charm, creating an immersive tea ceremony space for the four famous types of tea that is "visible, audible, drinkable, and touchable".

For the main visual design of the outer box, a cloud pattern hollowed-out layer made by numerical control laser engraving is adopted. The changes in its density simulate the common perspective rules. When the viewer moves, the engraved patterns on the internal metal tea box are faintly visible as the light shifts, forming a dynamic visual narrative of "the mountains veiled in a thin mist".

This kind of interactive design that makes the most of the combination of the visible and the concealed is precisely the most exquisite contemporary interpretation of the Song Dynasty's ideology of "investigating things to understand the principles". All sensory stimuli will eventually return to the momentary silence after the tea soup slides down the throat, just like the blank space at the end of a landscape painting scroll.
