The product may be basic—its packaging, anything but
Heine Warnecke Design, a design agency with headquarters in Hanover and Munich, has created a unique packaging system for a CD, which combines traditional elements with modern design concepts. The Advent calendar has a long-standing tradition. The Heine Warnecke team hopes their design can attract the attention of the younger generation. The inspiration for the packaging comes from the small house clusters formed by Christmas markets in German city centers every December; through the form of a calendar, this type of miniature Christmas village can be recreated. The compact arrangement not only saves space but also reduces material usage and transportation volume. The packaging surface also features a striking Braille design, which not only echoes the shape of the CD but also feels as poetic as stars or snowflakes.
The box was made by cardboard and small box was made by paper card.
