A packaging design for a gin
Robber is a gin from a young brand in Abruzzo, Italy, embodying a bold and adventurous spirit. For its packaging design, a visual language aligned with the brand's personality was created, borrowing imagery from customs checkpoints with a tone of irony and provocation. Visually, it expresses the non-traditional nature of the gin—not aiming to please everyone, but exclusively for those ready for surprises.
The packaging takes the shape of a small suitcase, entirely made of corrugated cardboard, a sustainable choice that aligns with the brand's environmental philosophy. On the front, a simple message "NOTHING TO DECLARE" mimics standard customs declaration forms, though this is purely a visual device.
The true message appears on the back: a collage of an elderly person's hand, accusingly pointing at the contents inside. These judgmental fingers represent an old, rigid, institutionalized world—exactly what Robber Gin proudly distinguishes itself from. With a wild, youthful, rule-breaking spirit (as the name itself suggests), it has nothing to hide. This project aims to surprise and entertain, embodying a lifestyle that defies conventions, stands out, and refuses to go unnoticed.
