The packaging of Totem Cereals looks more like a toy than a breakfast box. Designed by Silvia Maio and Rui Bravo, each cylindrical container serves as a colorful character. The facial expressions created with cereal illustrations and typography are bold and vivid, and they can be vertically stacked like totem poles.
The colors are bright and full of fun, yet the design is ingenious, encouraging reuse and interaction. This is a playful and graphic-oriented packaging that provides elements for children to explore and interact with.
Inspired by the totems and masks in the rich cultural heritage of the Aztecs, each pack of cereal represents a unique character, transforming the packaging into a stackable totem.
